Who's Your Batman?

This comparison is based upon believability, costume, and voice. I chose only to look at live action actors, because it can include costume/believability a little more. That being said, I chose Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, and George Clooney.

Image result for batman christian baleFirstly, Christian Bale's believability, costume, and voice were all really entertaining. From an audience perspective, his believability as an actor and entertainer was well done. To boot, his performance in American Psycho also displays a great portrayal of a different person to the actor himself. His costume was similar to classic Batman, but with a twist that made it better than previous suits. He didn't have nipples, for one. His voice did happen to ruin the character a little, it was very deep and sounded very fake. He sounded like he was exaggerating too much.

Ben Affleck did a pretty terrible portrayal of Batman. For starters, the suit was designed badly. The whole time he looked rather uncomfortable wearing it, which dents believability because he's supposed to be used to the suit. His voice didn't sound very realistic, it seemed too deep and robot-like.

As for George Clooney, his portrayal was also pretty bad. However, his voice wasn't rough and forced like the other two, so in that area he did well. His suit was badly designed, it looked uncomfortable and had unnecessary parts to it. His believability matched that of the movie. The movie was very cheesy and unintentionally comedic, and his role fit that. His acting wasn't terrible but paired with the movie didn't look good.

Therefore, after comparing them all, the best person to have portrayed live action Batman was Christian Bale. His costume and believability/acting was great, but his voice could use some work. Paired with Heath Ledger's Joker, it looked really good on screen.

In the Batman series, a very well known hero-villain couple is Batman and the Joker. They compliment one another really well because Batman is sane and the "good guy", while the Joker is the "bad guy" and plays the role of an insane, yet intelligent character. Mini-Review #3: Avengers: Endgame

I'm definitely a fan of Marvel, so of course I was entertained by  Avengers: Endgame  - in my opinion it was well-made, the story wasn't too bad, and I think some parts of the film served as a fitting conclusion to the Avengers  films. One thing I did like was how Iron Man's story ended. Tony Stark is probably one of my favorite Marvel heroes, and I think it was fitting that he was the one to wield the Infinity Stones at the end. I wish we'd seen more of his life with his family, though. However, I didn't enjoy  Endgame  nearly as much as I thought I would. It didn't live up to the standard created by some of the great Marvel films before it, and I think that at some parts it relied too much on humor and had a lot of holes in the plot. Mini-Review #2: Jaws

I thoroughly enjoyed the blockbuster unit we did in class - I'd seen Stephen Spielberg's  Jaws  many times before, but for me this film never gets old.  Jaws  is definitely a classic, and the film's storyline is executed beautifully. One of my favorite scenes in  Jaws  is the "get out of the water" scene - I really love the vertigo effect used in this scene. I think this is one of the most iconic and well-known use of this camera effect. It enhances this scene really well (it also looks really cool). I think that the animatronic shark not working properly worked out great for the film's outcome because of the constant feeling of suspense throughout  Jaws  - not seeing the shark made it so much more scary and unpredictable. I think now filmmakers rely too much on CGI effects that they forget how effective and believable practical effects can be - in my opinion, the difficulties that come with practical visual effects make the film that...
